Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 left Tehran in the early morning of January 8, 2020, bound for Kyiv. Minutes after takeoff, it was struck by two surface-to-air missiles. No one survived.
After first blaming a technical failure, Iranian authorities admitted the aircraft had been shot down by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, calling it “human error.” The families have never accepted that explanation.
